Wool Modern Rugs that add a touch of Luxury
There are so many different styles of contemporary wool rugs that it’s difficult deciding which one, what size and colour, texture – patterned or plain and neutral? In fact you could go further:
- Budget rugs and high end prices
- Traditional weaves – hand tufted or hand knotted
- Retro chic, modern designs or classic styles, such as oriental rugs
- And so on
Lots to think about but – that opens up the market, makes the possibility of finding the right rug, the right tones, shape and size more likely. With so many designs and styles on the market, modern floor coverings are more accessible, and that can only be a good thing, especially when it comes to interior decoration. We all want to decorate our homes in a way that reflect us, our personalities, our sense of style and taste.
We want our homes to be warm, welcoming and look appealing. Modern décor now allows us to opt for either traditional interior design or more upbeat, contemporary styles. As an example, it’s now fashionable to use wooden flooring throughout our homes, something many of us have taken advantage of. Contemporary wool rugs fit readily into that style of décor, just as easily as they can compliment a carpeted home.
As an example, a wool area rug will work in a large relatively clear space, great for those with a sizeable living area that needs a little interest adding to it. Equally, a luxurious shag rug would look right at home in a smaller setting, perhaps placed slightly in front of the main seating area or placed upon a bedroom floor. There are various other styles that would work in modern, retro or truly traditional homes, the common denominator being the quality of the rug.
Contemporary wool rugs really are versatile, will stand the test of time and will add an elegant luxury appeal to any home. Nothing looks as good or feels quite as soft underfoot as modern rugs that have been crafted from the finest of wools. The only problem with wool rugs is deciding which one would look the best. Or whether two would do instead of one!
