Terms & Conditions

These are the terms and conditions of the www.landofrugs.co.uk web site. By placing an order on this web site you are accepting these terms and conditions and agree to be bound by them.

  1. Our Terms and conditions
    1. We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Please check that you have read and understood our current terms & conditions. Last updated 06.03.2012.
    2. These terms and conditions relate only to www.landofrugs.co.uk
  2. Placing an order
    1. You may place an order with us either by adding goods to either of our shopping carts and completing the checkout procedure or by placing an order with us over the telephone. In both cases you will have ample opportunity to check the details of your order are correct.
    2. On completion of 2.1 above, you are now deemed to have placed an order with us and will receive an order acknowledgment by email and/or by post. When you receive this please check once again that your order details are correct. Contact us immediately if there are any discrepancies.
  3. Acceptance of an order
    1. When the goods are ready for dispatch we will accept your order and contact you by telephone or email to arrange delivery. Until this time we are not deemed to have accepted your order and may refuse it for any reason including;
      1. the goods are incorrectly described or priced, or
      2. the goods are no longer available, or
      3. we have trouble processing your payment.
  4. Processing payment
    1. We may process payment for your order as soon as you place it or may wait until the order has been accepted. Processing of your payment is not deemed to be acceptance of your order.
  5. Prices
    1. All Prices include vat at the current rate of 20% where applicable.
    2. Prices may be changed at any time and all orders are processed at the current rate as displayed on www.landofrugs.co.uk at the time the order is placed.
  6. Delivery
    1. We offer FREE DELIVERY to UK mainland addresses. Please visit our delivery page for further information.
    2. For current delivery charges to offshore locations please visit our delivery page.
    3. Delivery costs to International Locations are calculated at the checkout.
    4. As soon as your order is ready for dispatch our courier will contact you with tracking details for your order.
    5. Your order must be signed for unless you have emailed us to say that a signature is not required and that the order can be left in a secure location of your choice if no one is home when our courier delivers your order. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT WITHOUT A SIGNITURE WE WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGED OR MISSING ORDERS THAT HAVE BEEN LEFT IN A SECURE LOCATION AT YOUR REQUEST.
    6. As noted in 6.5 we will deliver to an alternative delivery address if specified, however this may slightly delay your order whilst we undergo additional security measures for the prevention of fraud. If this inconveniences any customers in any way we do apologise; we must however stress that this is deemed necessary in order to protect the privacy and security of our customers and products.
    7. We reserve the right to refuse any order we suspect to be fraudulent or suspicious in any capacity.
  7. Cancellations
    1. You can cancel an order at any time prior to it being dispatched for a full refund.
  8. Faults
    1. If you receive an order where the packaging is damaged please ensure that the courier notes this on his paperwork prior to you signing for the order.
    2. Please check all goods carefully as soon as you receive them. If the goods are faulty, or not what you ordered please let us know within 48 hours of receipt. We will arrange a collection of your order so that it can be inspected, and should your goods be confirmed to be incorrect or faulty, we will offer you a replacement, a mutually agreeable re-selection or a full refund, the choice of which is yours.
    3. Should your item become faulty after 48 hours of receipt, please contact us and arrange a return of the item so that it may be inspected. Please note that slight variations of colour are not accepted by us to constitute faulty goods and we do not accept responsibility for the cost of returning rugs whose colour is not as portrayed on your computer screen.
    4. Rugs made from wool or acrylic are naturally shedding products and as such are not considered to be faulty because then shed their pile.
    5. Sizes displayed on the website can vary and are only an approximation, please contact us if you have any queries regarding sizes as slight variations between those displayed on the site and actual pieces will not be constituted as a fault.
  9. Returns
    1. Once you have received your goods, you have 14 days in which you can return them should you feel that they are not suited to your needs. Your order must be returned in its original packaging and in perfect condition, the packaging must be resealed with sufficient tape to ensure it is both water tight and adequately protected on its return journey.

It is your responsibility to return the goods to us, we are not responsible for any costs you may incur while doing so.
We will not be responsible for items lost in transit whilst being returned to us.

Following us receiving your returned order we will inspect them and if we are happy they have been returned in the same condition that they were dispatched, we will refund your order in full.

We ask that a note should also be enclosed with any product(s) returned to us and the note should indicate your order number, and clearly state your reason for returning the item(s). Including the note will speed up the refund process, although it will not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
On receipt of returned items, your refund will be made to the debit/credit card or PayPal account that was used to place the original order. Alternatively you can use this as credit towards another purchase if you wish.
You will be advised by e-mail when the credit for your returned order has been processed. This will usually be within 7 days of receipt of the returned product(s).
